The piece driven was inspired by my friend Robert Wilson who actually inspired my version of impact art. I wonder if he was intrigued by my exclamation "PAINT BRUSHES" as I watched him work his magic with two very thick heavy leather floggers. He loaned me a pair and I fell in love with them, but I kept thinking I wish I had some special ones to paint with.
A year later, after many experiments ripping up jeans and other assorted materials found at neighborhood garage sales, my first flogger style paintbrushes came into being. I then produced my first two pieces "Braving Thorns ." (Watch that video here.)
